NEW SCHEDULE and IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS!!
As you know, I’ve been working on a new schedule for a while now and brainstorming with the other Coaches to come up with what I think is the best one yet!! You’re going to love the new structure of our MOBILITY SERIES classes. PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ THE CLASS DESCRIPTIONS ATTACHED TO THE END OF THIS EMAIL! It will really help you understand what the many improvements we have now built into the weekly schedule. I can’t emphasize enough how IMPORTANT stretching & mobility are to your overall fitness and health. We’ve listened to your feedback and have made the Mobility Series much more compatible to our CrossFit programming.
As a further incentive to you, I will be putting together a mini-contest and AWARD 1ST, 2ND, and 3RD Prizes to the Athletes who complete 40 hours of Mobility Series classes first. I will send out more information on the contest soon. Note that on Wednesdays, we have covered all time periods with Mobility Classes and there are (4) other days during the week for you catch a Mobility class. I’m looking forward to your feedback about these new classes and how well they tie into our CrossFit programming.
Also, Coach Veronika is starting up a NEW “Olympic Foundations” class (90-minutes) on Fridays at 7:00PM — Please Read the Class Descriptions of Competition Series for more details on this exciting class and our other Olympic Lifting classes (OLY Lab & OLY WOD) as well as our NEW Cardio WOD class program & description.
This schedule will be in effect for the rest of the Winter and Early Spring; starting Wednesday, February 1st! I plan on having WODIFY fully updated by tonight. Please hold off on any reservations until the new schedule is updated. I will re-evaluate the class schedule in about 3-months or so and determine what (if any) changes, additions or deletions may be needed to give you the very best possible CrossFit, Competition and Mobility Series classes possible.
This is a 1-hour class comprising a group warm-up followed by skill or strength training programmed in advance with total body fitness in mind. Emphasis is on building strength, increasing mobility and flexibility and learning proper safety techniques while working out. Each day is different and helps our Athletes become well-rounded. The second half of the class consists of the Workout of the Day (WOD) which is a time-based activity consisting of multiple combinations of exercise that challenge every aspect of your physical fitness capability. While it pushes each individual to their limits – it offers various modifications and scaled versions of the same movements. Each daily WOD is varied and rarely repeated. The principles of constantly varied – high intensity – functional movements are consistently applied.
This is a 1-hour “bootcamp” style class which is designed to strengthen and condition your entire body through a series of movements resulting in the ultimate full body workout. These varied movements will challenge your strengths and weaknesses while building muscle and burning off fat. We use SMART training with effective tools and techniques like HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training).
All movements are scalable to your level of ability – which makes this class ideal for all levels of fitness. This is also the perfect class for a beginner looking to start CrossFit because it will help condition the body and prepare the mind for the more intense workouts found in the CrossFit classes.
This is a 1-hour stretch class where you will be guided through different styles and techniques specifically designed to develop flexibility and mobility while restoring “life” back into fatigued muscles. The classes will incorporate deep stretches while using various breathing techniques that will improve muscular balance, lung capacity and decrease recovery time in and out of the gym. Over time, the results will make a stronger well-rounded Athlete with an increase in flexibility but most importantly, drastically decrease the risk of injury.
